About Us

On Your Marks…

Ecrebo was founded in 2010 by Dr Hassan Hajji and David Vernon, who wanted to change the mindset of point of sale (POS) as a purely transactional location.

They reasoned that POS reaches every customer, so when used as a marketing tool,
could offer unique advantages:

  • Unparalleled reach
Almost 90% of transactions take place in-store, and POS is the only place where retailers can truly engage customers at scale
  • Measurable ROI
A POS marketing platform could deliver clinically measured returns on investment (ROI) better than direct mail, email and other channels
  • Fully retailer-owned
With 100% share of voice from POS marketing, retailers could enjoy the customer’s full attention, free of competing messages
  • Precise targeting
POS is where loyalty card and transaction data come together, allowing marketing messages to be targeted with unparalleled precision

Driven by this insight, we signed up our first customer in 2011 – and have never looked back.

Over the last few years, we’ve grown quickly, helped by a £12million investment from Air Miles and Nectar founder Sir Keith Mills, and Warburg Pincus Head of Europe, Joseph Schull.

In fact, things went so well, in 2017, we expanded from our UK base in Reading to launch our North America operation. So where are we now?

On The Rise

Today, our innovative technology helps some of the world’s leading retailers know more, engage more and sell more.

Household names including M&S, Dixons Carphone and Waitrose can now react in real-time to real opportunities thanks to us.

It means that, to date, OnPoint has processed over £30billion in transactions and delivered over 800 million personalised offers.

But that’s just the beginning.

Our loyalty footprint is growing globally as we get swifter and smarter.

Our amazing new features mean we can track the whole customer journey.

And our ambition has changed.

From humble beginnings providing targeted POS offers, we want to be the destination for end-to-end loyalty.

We want to create a retail experience for the digital age.

We want to revolutionise the loyalty landscape.

And we’re doing it. With every sale. Every second. Every day.
