Ecrebo, whose clients include some of the UK’s largest retailers including M&S and Waitrose, today announced it has appointed Michael Poyser as Chief Analytics Officer. Poyser brings more than 18 years of experience working in customer and loyalty analytics, leading large teams of analysts and data scientists. In his role as Chief Analytics Officer, he will focus on helping retail customers better utilise the real-time data that Ecrebo has access to, to generate impactful consumer insights. Poyser will form part of the senior leadership team where he will have input into the overall running and strategic direction of the company.
Prior to Ecrebo, Poyser served as Vice President of Aimia’s Analytics Division for Canada where he was responsible for driving analytics across the company’s client base. He also served as Head of Aimia’s Analytics division for EMEA where he was responsible for data analytics for loyalty programmes across Europe and the Middle East, including the Nectar coalition loyalty scheme in the UK. During his tenure at Aimia, Poyser designed and led the development of its Self-Serve platform, used by many retailers across multiple geographies, and hundreds of CPG companies. Before Aimia, Poyser was Dunnhumby’s Head of Shopping Experience, for whom he developed customer analytics solutions for retail and CPG companies.
“The opportunity to join a fast-growing, dynamic organisation at such an exciting point in its growth trajectory was of great appeal to me,” said Poyser. “Ecrebo has developed a unique proposition for its retail clients to better understand and communicate with their customers at the point of sale. I am delighted to lead the data and analytics work with our retail partners to enable them to be more successful using our real-time data and insights capabilities.”
“Knowing Michael’s extensive background in leading successful analytics teams and projects, I am thrilled to welcome him to the Ecrebo team,” said David Buckingham, CEO, Ecrebo. “Retailers across the UK, Europe and the U.S. have already seen the impact that our marketing platform can have on driving incremental revenue and building long-term loyalty for their business. I am confident that with Michael on board leading our analytics capability, we will continue to grow our client base by proving the value of our shopper insights.”
