What happens when you take a group of retail technology professionals out of the office and hand them a set of darts?
Apparently, a fiercely competitive battle for bragging rights.
The Ecrebo team recently got together for a summer social at Flight Club Reading, swapping meetings, emails and project plans for an evening of laughs, friendly competition and some surprisingly impressive dart throwing.
It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to catch up outside of the usual day-to-day, spend time with colleagues from across the business, and enjoy an evening focused on what makes Ecrebo special: our people.
More Than Just a Team
At Ecrebo, we’re proud of the culture we’ve built. While we’re passionate about helping retailers create better customer experiences, we’re equally passionate about creating a workplace where people enjoy working together.
Events like our summer gathering are a chance to strengthen those connections, celebrate our successes and simply have some fun together.
The Competition Was Real
Of course, no Ecrebo social event would be complete without a little healthy competition.
There were some impressive performances throughout the evening, a few unexpected darting talents emerged, and more than one person started taking the leaderboard very seriously.
But when the dust settled and the scores were counted, there was one clear champion.
Congratulations to our CEO, David Buckingham, who somehow managed to combine leadership skills with dartboard domination to take the crown. 🏆
We’re still investigating whether years of strategic thinking somehow improve aim.
Here’s to the Next One
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a success.
The laughs, conversations and friendly rivalry are exactly what make these events so enjoyable and such an important part of life at Ecrebo.
Until next time, David gets the trophy. The rest of us get a year to practice.
